Meet Tony Dunkerley
Co-Founder
Africa has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. From my earliest trips to the continent, I was captivated by its vast landscapes, diverse cultures, and the infectious energy of its people. Over the years, I have spent extensive time traveling, working, and immersing myself in the rhythms of life across East Africa.
My journey has taken me from the rugby pitches of Nairobi to the open plains of the Serengeti, forging deep connections with the people and communities that make this region so special. Whether it’s coaching young players, sharing stories over a fire under the African sky, or witnessing the raw beauty of a safari at dawn, Africa continues to inspire me.
With Tritons Sports, I’m passionate about giving others the chance to experience the magic of this place. It’s not just about the sport - it’s about the friendships, the adventures, and the lasting impact of stepping into a world that changes you forever.
Meet Jon Beswick
Co-Founder
I started my first company on a 9 month overland expedition down the West Coast of West Africa. A journey of 33,000 km, through 33 countries which galvanised my love of the continent.
With a passion for a challenge, lover of problem solving and adventure I have spent the last 20 years subsequently leading expeditions all around the world. I apply lessons learnt from these expeditions to business and to the Tritons.
The Tritons is fantastic opportunity for amateur players like myself to travel to exciting destinations, to experience new cultures with players who share a love of the game… then to play a national team in their home grounds. The sensation of singing a national anthem to a packed African crowd, followed by fast, exciting rugby and post match celebrations is something everyone should experience.
